In one article, it talks about how low self esteem is related to aggression, antisocial behavior, and delinquency. This article states that eleven year olds with low self esteem tend to increase aggression by age thirteen. The effect of low self esteem on aggression was narcissism, which means the relation between low self esteem and aggression became even stronger.

In another article, it talks about insecure attachment, dysfunctional attitudes, and low self esteem predicting prospective symptoms of depression and anxiety during adolescence. They hypothesized that dysfunctional attitudes and low self esteem, took a long period of time to make up for an agreement, between insecure attachment and prospective controlling for initial symptoms and temporally preceding dysfunctional attitudes and self esteem. The results supported this hypotheses.
